Our help to Comunità Incontro

Anima Universale cooperates with the Work of Monsignor Pietro Gelmini (in the photograph with our founder Swami Roberto). Monsignor Gelmini is a tireless father to many. Through his worldwide work he is dedicating all of his life to saving people of any nationality and religion from desperation caused by drugs, marginalization and extreme poverty.

Our help goes on

After the donation of the Centre in Bene Vagienna, Anima Universale is continuing to help Don Pierino’s great work. Thanks to God’s Providence, therefore to all the well-meaning people who support us, we have been able to give Comunità Incontro Euro 140,393.50 (As of January 20, 2025).

Anima Universale donated a new Centre to Comunità Incontro

The Centre (photograph on the left) is in Bene Vagienna (near Cuneo, Italy) in a quiet place deep in the country, surrounded by 20,000 square meters of garden. The complex had been renovated and finished in all details by Anima Universale, also thanks to the artistic work of Ramias. The original cottage had been enlarged and completely redeveloped on loose stone foundation. We gave it Don Pierino ready to welcome the young people who are in need of his precious help. The deed of donation was drawn up on 18th June 2004, the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Anima Universale is very sensitive to the problem of marginalization; therefore, while we were working at the Centre, we decided to make it a place for the inner rebirth of many young people afflicted by the scourge of drugs. Thanks to Don Pierino, who accepted this gift, our intention has become a reality and in Piedmont there is now a new “clinic” of the spirit for the recovery of drug addicts who want to change their life. May Our Lady of the Smile bring back joy into the afflicted hearts of many.

From the magazine Il Cammino

The issue no. 120 of Il Cammino - the authoritative magazine of Comunità Incontro – dedicated five pages to a report of the cooperation of Anima Universale:

«From the meeting between Roberto Casarin - founder of a Movement for spiritual union which works to build peace and to incentivize the true realization of brotherhood among people – and Don Pierino, to the inauguration of a new Centre of Comunità Incontro at Bene Vagienna.
In the centre of the triangle Cuneo-Alba-Mondovì [three Italian cities], among the reticle of small towns which cover the South of Piedmont, towards Ligury and France, near Fossano exit of the Turin-Savona highway, donors define it as a “fruit of our work and of God’s Providence, which manifests itself to us through a great number of supporters of our activities”.
The emotion for the welcome received by Comunità Incontro at Zervò and at Mulino Silla, and for the arrival of the young people of the Community. A strong experience promoted by the popular showman Pippo Franco, attended also by the local authorities: from the Bishop, to the Subsecreteries of State Teresio Delfino and Paolo Mammola, to the Head of the Police and the Prefect of Cuneo.»

With don Pierino we helped tsunami orphans

After the terrible tsunami which devastated South-Eastern Asia in December 2004, Anima Universale gave father Pierino Gelmini Euro 122,000 for his Centres in Thailand, where he has welcomed hundreds of orphans, women and old people deprived of beloved ones and of anything else they had.

Patrizia and Enzo Mirigliani, patrons of the TV beauty contest “Miss Italia”, had wished to join this initiative of Anima Universale with a generous grant of Euro 12,000.
