Today marks the anniversary—we wish it never existed—of a tragedy that will sadly remain engraved in history: the dramatic attack on the Twin Towers in New York City in 2001.
The Church Anima Universale wishes “to put” a drop of joy and hope—that has just come true for the poorest of Haiti—in this painful day.
Sadly, 70% of the population of Haiti doesn’t have access to safe water. Therefore, waterborne diseases, like typhoid fever, cholera and intestinal infections, cause more than a half of the annual deaths, and are responsible for the high rate of child mortality.
The good news is that, thanks to the Church Anima Universale, one water treatment plant has been built that will serve almost 10,000 inhabitants of Carice, a really poor and remote village located on the mountains in Northwest Haiti…
